University of South Florida offensive lineman Benjamin Knox was arrested Sunday and charged with firing a gun on campus.

According to a police report obtained by the WFLA station, Knox allegedly shot a gun at the side of the dormitory building where he lives on campus.

He was charged with “possessing or discharging a firearm on campus and shooting into an occupied dwelling,” per Claire McNeill of the Tampa Bay Times. There have been no reported injuries at this time.

USF Athletics department issued this statement after Knox’s arrest:

“USF Athletics is aware of an incident involving student-athlete Benjamin Knox that occurred early Sunday morning. The student-athlete in question has been immediately suspended from all team activities. We are in the process of gathering more information on the matter and are working with the proper authorities.  This type of behavior is not consistent with the values of our institution and will not be tolerated.”

Knox, 21, is a reserve on the South Florida football team. He was a 3-star recruit in the class of 2014, and is now being held on a $15,000 bond.
