2015 has been another year that Drake has dominated the Hip-Hop world. From releasing his critically acclaimed and commercially successful retail mixtape “If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late” to his thorough vanquishing of friend turned foe Meek Mill in a short lived battle, Drizzy has been racking up the W’s. This past summer, after announcing a multi-million dollar partnership with Apple Music, Drake unveiled his OVO Sound Radio where he took the opportunity release new material, one of those being “Hotline Bling.” The song lifts a similar sample from D.R.A.M.’s “Cha Cha,” and is a stark departure from the dark sonics that Drizzy has become known for, with this tune having a lighthearted vibe.
With the song hovering at the top of the charts, Drake premieres the visual which is directed by X (formerly Little X), who also happens to be a Toronto native. The clip finds The Boy doing his best two step while some of the finest ladies this side of the Mississippi play phone operator. Check it out below. His highly anticipated album “Views From The 6” is slated for release later this year.
