Miguel‘s Wildheart LP, his third, will more than likely have some fun come Grammy nomination time, but for now, the “contemporary R&B” artist will continue to supply us with cinematic, performance-driven music videos, the latest of them being for one of the album’s standout records, “waves.”
It’s only fitting that J. Cole appears in the video; the NC-native tweeted about “waves,” being “the one” back in June when the album dropped.
dawg your album is a riiiiiiide @Miguel. Go support the man! tell em Gucc @iammarkpitts “waves” is the one right now. congrats

Wale, who worked with Miguel on the lead single from his 2011 album Ambition, and Wildheart‘s first official release, “Coffee,” also appears in the video. However, neither rapper contributes vocals, leaving Miguel, and dancing lights and women as the real stars of the show. Watch it above.
