Marie Holmes was praised for winning the Powerball, considering that she was a single mother struggling to raise her children, one of whom is a special needs child.

Lamar Andre McDow, Holmes’ fiancee and no stranger to the law, was arrested in November 2014 on heroine trafficking charges. His bond was $6 million. Then, McDow was arrested in July for possession of marijuana and a gun while sharing a home with Holmes. Holmes spent $9 million to bail him. A grand jury indicted him for that charge this week when he was picked up again for gun possession. Bail…$10,000 in which Holmes paid for.

Many people have criticized Holmes for spending her winnings on bail money other than leaving her fiancee., but according to Holmes, people need to worry about their own money and stop focusing on how she spends hers. Is she right?
