Coming off the release of his latest EP titled “L.I.F.E.,” New York native Emilio Rojas looks to double down on his momentum by releasing the visual for “Imagine That” featuring DeVo D. The record is Rojas’ take on the classic Nas and Lauryn Hill record which had some of the most thought provoking content in Hip-Hop history. Rojas adds his take on the record but with a new age sensibility, speaking on topics ranging from poverty, racism, the war on drugs and police brutality.

Speaking on his inspiration for the record, Rojas told HotNewHipHop:

There are so many things going in the world right now that I felt compelled to at least try and address some of the issues,” he said. “The original Nas record came at a crucial moment — it really put a focus on a lot of the problems plaguing the urban community at the time. My goal with this song was to do a broader, modern play on the concept while paying homage to the original. I really want to be a part of the dialogue that leads to change.
