The maddening and offensive part of Halloween isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
As long as the holiday exists, there will be people offend, and stoop to very low levels, much like this group of friends depicted in the Instagram picture below. Four white teenagers from Georgia put on blackface and orange jumpsuits, and pretended to be Black convicts, one of whom has his fingers shaped as an imaginary handgun pointed at the head of one of their amused female friends. Since then, the account has been made private, but several of the boys’ acquaintances were adamant in defense of the costumes, including this comment from one user: “”Go in a jail and see what the majority of the population is.”
