This week, Quentin Tarantino and the Weinstein Company released the second trailer for upcoming epic western, Hateful Eight.

The movie, set in post-civil war Wyoming, follows bounty hunter John “The Hangman” Ruth (Kurt Russell) who’s escorting fugitive Daisy (Jennifer Jason Leigh) through the storm-battered state to her destination of Red Rock. It centers on eight characters: The Bounty Hunter, The Hangman, The Confederate, The Sheriff, The Mexican, The Little Man, The Cow Puncher and The Prisoner.

Back in August, the first trailer for the movie debuted and Tarantino revealed he was excited about the film’s release. “Finally, the issue of white supremacy is being talked about and dealt with. And it’s what the movie’s about.”

Hateful Eight features several of Tarantino’s usual suspects including Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Madsen and Tim Roth, serving as the Pulp Fiction director’s eighth film.

The film is slated for release on December 25, 2015 as a “roadshow presentation” in 70mm film format theaters only, before being released nationwide on January 8, 2016.
