Cam Newton is having one hell of a season.

The #1 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft has his Carolina Panthers at 9-0, good for first place in the NFC South, and tied for the best record through 10 weeks in the league, tied with Tom Brady’s Pats, who squeaked out a 1-point victory against the Giants at Metlife Stadium.

Newton hasn’t been all that modest about the year he’s having, and you can’t blame him. The former Heisman winner and BCS National Champion has thrown for just over 2,000 yards and 15 touchdowns, while rushing for 366 yards and 6 touchdowns. Those numbers won’t knock your socks off, but the moral of the story is Cam gets it done. Every week.

After he got it done against the Titans yesterday, one of their defensive players took issue with his dab-filled, dance-happy celebration, and tried to intervene, leading referees to get in between the two players.

The Panthers went on to win the game, 27-10, and afterwards, Cam was asked what he thought about players’ criticism of his end zone antics.
