NBC recently premiered the trailer for its highly anticipated live event production of The Wiz Live!
With rising talent Shanice Williams leading a star-studded cast including Queen Latifah (The Wiz), Mary J. Blige (Evillene), David Alan Grier (Cowardly Lion), Ne-Yo (Tin Man), (Scarecrow), Uzo Aduba (Glinda), Amber Riley (Addaperle), Common (The Gatekeeper) and Stephanie Mills (Auntie Em), the three-hour production is set to air on NBC December 3.
In addition to the production, Broadway Records will be releasing The Wiz Live! soundtrack on December 18, bringing back the splendor of an original soundtrack to accompany a motion picture/live production.
