Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens smiles during a preseason football game in this Aug. 9, 2007 photo, in Irving, Texas. At the direction of coach Wade Phillips, and through the creativity of offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, the Dallas Cowboys are forcing defenses to search for No. 81 on every play. If the term “sports diva” was in the dictionary, it quite possibly might have a photo of Terrell Owens next to it. With that said, for all of his outbursts in the media and post touchdown antics, it was also very entertaining. It is this that helped contribute to his downfall but also made him a household name. Dancing with cheerleaders, or taking a bite out of a fans popcorn were the cheerful moments, but it is dividing the Philadelphia Eagles locker room or flat-out refusing to play for the Baltimore Ravens after being traded there that added to his lore and led to his demise. His last full season in the NFL saw him join his BFF Ochocinco in Cincinnati, where he all but promised to be on his best behavior. This after several teams passed on him. Let’s not forget time he was suspended by the Eagles for “conduct detrimental to the team” and responded by holding a press conference in his home driveway while doing crunches shirtless.
