One of the ways that the Internet has benefited Hip Hop is breaking down the borders that once dominated the rap landscape, leaving the door open for talents who do not hail from major cities. Such is the case with Walterboro, South Carolina MC Nick Grant. Possessing a strong skill set with lyrical dexterity, vivid imagery and a hopeful message, Grant grew up studying rap legends Big Daddy Kane and Rakim, which is a rarity for someone at his age.
Nick recently unveiled the official music video for “The Jungle,” which finds him waxing poetic about the ills of his generation but also meshing it out with a melody that is digestible to even the most fringe rap listener. Check out the visual below. Currently managed by famed music executive Jason Geter, the sky is the limit for Nick Grant.
Grant also stopped by Sway In The Morning and floored everyone with his freestyle which had the phone lines buzzing.
