Atlanta-based rapper Rome Fortune recently announced his signing to A-Trak‘s Fools Gold Records, alongside the release of his new track “Dance,” produced by Kaytranada.
Rome’s debut full length on the label is still in the works, but if this track’s any indication the set is sure to be an interesting, unique release for forward-thinking, genre-bending Hip-Hop.
“Dance” lives up to its title, with edgy, upbeat production that makes perfect sense both in a club setting and via a label such as A-Trak’s while staying true to Rome’s roots as an experimental rapper.
The video follows Rome (and his characteristically dyed beard) throughout the club (naturally), and is executed in an artistic, trippy manner both captivating and refreshing to watch. It’s directed by Goldrush, the moniker for video production duo Josh Goldenberg and Rahil Ashruf.
