One of the reasons current Detroit Piston star Reggie Jackson requested a trade from Oklahoma City last season, aside from the fact he thought he was worthy of his own team and worth more than the 4-year, $48 million contract they’d offered him, was that he no longer saw eye-to-eye with Russell Westbrook, the team’s dominant starting point guard. Therefore, it came as no surprise that in February, Jackson was traded to Detroit, who went on to offer Jackson a 5-year, $80 million contract this past July. Naturally, he accepted.

Last night, Jackson returned to Oklahoma City for the first time since the trade with his Pistons, who are playing their best basketball in years and could be in line for a playoff spot come April. Detroit hung around, but eventually fell short 103-87 as Jackson logged 15 points and 4 assists in 26 minutes, falling short of his season average in all three categories. After the game, Westbrook was asked about his former running mate, and he seemed to have a bit of amnesia.
