With 1.8 billion streams worldwide, Spotify has announced that Canadian superstar Drake is the top streamed musical artist of 2015.
His album, If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late, yielded 46 million listeners while other top artists such as Rihanna took a close second, with a billion streams and 57 million listeners, making her the top streamed female artist that made the Spotify list.
Justin Beiber set a streaming record, bringing in 36 million streams in a single day on November 13.
This was a part of the music streaming service’s Year In Music, which shows what music aficianados really dig from the top music streaming service in the world. It is only second to tenured streaming giant Pandora in total listeners, in which Pandora boasts over 80 milion.
