Kobe Bryant‘s victory lap continues.
The only problem is, there aren’t many actual victories. Until April, we’ll watch one of the greatest players to ever pick up a basketball stumble through an 82 game season that, for him, probably will feel much longer. Last night was a painful example of that.
After coming out firing, Kobe fell flat, making just 7 of the 23 shots he took in a 103-91 loss in Philadelphia, his hometown. It would be the final time he would play an NBA game in Philadelphia.
The 76ers didn’t go easy on the 5-time champ, blocking one of his shots so viciously it instantly went viral on social media. After the game, Sixers assistant coaches and cheerleaders celebrated as if they’d just clinched a playoff spot, instead of avoided an 0-19 start. Yikes.
