On Thursday, Nicki Minaj‘s 37-year-old brother, Jelani Maraj, was arraigned in court on charges of first-degree rape and course of sexual conduct against a child after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 12-year old girl. Maraj, who was married to his longtime girlfriend in August has reportedly been bailed out of Nassau County jail by his sister.

The New York Post “Page Six” report alleges that Minaj posted $100,000 for her brother’s contingent freedom; properties Minaj owns in Baldwin, NY and Hempstead, NY provide the bonds anchor. One of those homes (Baldwin) is occupied by Maraj. Initially, prosecutors were seeking a bond of $500,000, which Minaj was reportedly ready to provide.

The bond proceedings were handled by Ira Judelson, the famed bondsman who has tried but repeatedly failed to help Bobby Shmurda‘s attorneys put together an appropriate bail package for the Brooklyn rapper.
