St. Petersburg, Florida Mayor Rick Kriseman has decided that he has had enough of real estate mogul turned Presidential candidate Donald Trump and made an unofficial Tweet to ban Trump from his city.
Playing off of Trump’s controversial statement, St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman tweeted yesterday that he was banning Trump.
I am hereby banning Donald Trump from St. Petersburg until we can fully understand the dangerous threat posed be all Trumps.
His post was retweeted more than 1,200 times in about an hour. Trump’s proposed ban comes after what he called hatred among “large segments of the Muslim population” toward Americans, specifically the San Bernardino tragedy. Trump said the ban should be in place at American borders “until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses.”
Trump’s proposal was quickly condemned by other Republican and Democratic presidential candidates.
