Saturday night, it was his Milwaukee Bucks that finally ended Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors’ ridiculous streak of 28 consecutive wins, and 24 to start a season, falling short only to the 1971-1972 Los Angeles Lakers’ 33 straight. After the game, Kidd was asked to provide some thoughts on Curry, who becomes more and more video game-like with each passing month, and Kidd, a shoo-in Hall of Famer in his own right, drew comparisons to none other than Michael Jordan.

“He’s this generation’s Jordan. We all wanted to be like Mike, and children today will grow up seeing Steph.”

Could he have a point? As the generational gap between people who actually grew up on Michael Jordan and kids today that only know him as a guy that sells lots of shoes grows, Stephen Curry could step in become that perpetual aspiration. LeBron James and Kevin Durant won’t like hearing that very much though.
