Though they are technically still alive in the NFC wildcard race, the 5-8 St. Louis Rams hopes of the post season are all but finished. The team took on the also reeling Detroit Lions at home Sunday (December 13) and capped things off with a 21-14 victory, stopping a 5-game losing skid for the Rams. The game’s MVP was rookie running back Todd Gurley who racked up 140 rushing yards and 2 TDs. The first year back is making a very strong case for Rookie of the Year as he currently sits at 4th on this seasons rushing list with 975 yards and 8 TDs on the season, tied for 2nd most on the year.
The former University of Georgia running also happens to be a client of JAY Z‘s Roc Nation Sports, and after yesterday’s game, Hov stopped by the locker room to congratulate Gurley on a big day. Even though JAY Z couldn’t get a handle on how to lead the team’s break down, the entire roster was clearly elated with his presence.
Break us down, Jay Z!
