J.J. Redick did not want to dance in the locker room after the Clippers overtime victory against the Detroit Pistons last night.
Yes, that’s why he sprinted away from a post-game reporter as if he’d just been told his wife had gone into labor. The best part about this situation though? No one knew that until much later. So, in the immediate moments following Redick haul-assing away from an otherwise normal post-game interview, analysts were left fumbling for answers, like maybe Redick just realized he had to put more quarters in the meter? Or maybe he’d left his locker unlocked and didn’t want the guys to see his lucky pink drawers. Thankfully, the NBA TV Twitter account took care of the confusion.
According to @Matt_Winer, JJ was in a hurry because the last Clipper player into the locker room has to dance. JJ wasn’t having any of that.

By the way, Redick came up big for the Clippers, scoring 24 and hitting a game-tying 3-pointer late in regulation that all but forced overtime. Run J.J., run.
