Last night, Pusha T took to The Daily Show with Trevor Noah for a late night performance of some of his new jams in support of Darkest Before Dawn, his sophomore LP, which is due out Friday.

The Puff Daddy-produced “Crutches, Crosses, Caskets,” the video for which Push dropped at the top of the week, led the way, followed by Pusha’s debut of “Sunshine,” which features Jill Scott. “Sunshine” finds Pusha T venturing into rarely charted territory for the Virginia native, directly tackling several prevalent social and racial issues, from the hook “Just another n***a dead, just another n***a dead,” to his mention of Freddie Gray and controversial CNN news reporter Don Lemon.
