Legendary producer Timbaland announced today his plans to release his new mixtape, King Stays King, on Christmas Day through MyMixtapez.com.
The Grammy award winning musician, known for building the careers of some of the hottest artists of the new millennium, teamed up with today’s hottest talent including Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan, Mila J, Blaze and more to create his first major project since his success as the executive producer for the soundtrack to Empire.
Featuring 16 tracks, the King Stays King mixtape promises to capture the classic “Timbaland” sound.
While many look forward to new Timbaland music, lots of fans will be excited to hear one of the most anticipated tracks on the project: a previously unheard track from Aaliyah. “It’s been a while since I’ve been able to give the world some new music. I’ve spent a lot of time working on this project and I am just looking forward to giving my fans some dope sounds to close out the year,” says Timbaland.
Timbo has a lot up his sleeve these days, recently releasing a memoir titled The Emperor of Sound.
