“White Iverson, when I started balling I was young,” in Post Malone’s echoey, reluctant croon, is one of the best choruses of the year. Post’s introduction to the mainstream, thanks in large part to Fki’s moody-but-hard-hitting instrumental, stood little chance of being unlistenable. Post comparing a woman not seeing his true potential to her watching him “from the nosebleeds” only adds to the mystique of the metaphorical record, which is hard not to sing from the top of your lungs, even if you only know that one line.
