Rae Sremmurd
“Come Get Her” (prod. Mike Will Made It)
SremmLife
When Rae Sremmurd’s debut album, SremmLife, dropped earlier this year, we immediately scoured it to see if they could continue to replicate the seamless hit-making formula that brought us “No Flex Zone,” “No Type” and “Throw Sum Mo” last year. We didn’t need to look far. In 2015, yet another one of their Mike Will Made It helmed bangers popped. “Come Get Her,” saturated in 808’s and featuring more traditional rapping than we’re used to from the Sremmurd boys, is another lesson in tempo and Hook Writing 101 that deftly uses the fluctuations in Swae and Slim’s voice pitches to create one of the more infectious melodies on the album. Once you hear this song once, it’s like you’ve heard it 100 times.
