Secretary of State and Democratic Presidential front runner Hillary Clinton condemned Donald Trump’s anti-Muslim statements and proposals at this weekend’s Democratic debate. The former First Lady even considers Trump and his strategies recruiting tools for Islamic fundamentalist group ISIS.
“He’s becoming ISIS’ best recruiter. They are going to people showing them videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists.”
Even when asked about her gun control proposals in the wake of the San Bernardino tragedy, Clinton used it as an opportunity to circumvent Trump’s ideas.
“I worry greatly that the rhetoric coming from the Republicans, particularly Donald Trump, is sending a message to Muslims here in the United States and literally around the world that there is a clash of civilizations,” said Clinton, “that there is some kind of western plot or even war against Islam, which then I believe fans the flames of radicalization.”
Neither Trump or Clinton have responded to questions about these statements.
