Nearly 20 years since his last album came out, the larger-than-life producer and entrepreneur Dr. Dre released his final album in the midst of the great promotional tour for Straight Outta Compton, a biopic movie about NWA. Breaking away from the stigmas that came by way of the doomed Detox album, Compton served as an autobiographical soundtrack. Dre’s third studio exclusively released on Apple Music in August and it features artists like King Mez, Kendrick Lamar, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Jill Scott, Eminem and more. It debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 295,000 units its first week.
