It writes itself at this point that the dream quickly turned into a nightmare for Meek Mill during the second half of 2015. The origins of his feud with Drake are said to trace back to Drizzy’s contributions—or lack thereof as Meek has come to speculate—to “R.I.C.O.,” a song featured on this very project. While Meek’s intentions were perhaps from a place of hurt and sense of betrayal, sticking his neck out for the integrity of rap left the Philly MC susceptible to counter-attack, which proved to be catastrophic. Having said all that, the quality of this album remains difficult for us to deny, and equally challenging to simply sweep under the rug and forget about.
