Chris Paul is not known for dunking.
In fact, he’s chosen to lay-up or finger roll on so many wide-open fast-break opportunities that most have concluded he’s just incapable of dunking. It isn’t abnormal, every point guard can’t rise up and rim destroy like Russell Westbrook. Some of the best point guard’s in league history have just a handful of dunk attempts to their name.
Well, after the Clippers leaped out to an early lead against the Washington Wizards, Chris Paul caught a long pass from a teammate and, realizing he miles away from any Wizards defenders, decided to go up for the two-handed jam. After successfully dunking, he raised both arms up towards his teammates–who were going crazy on the sideline–as if to say ‘you guys happy now?’
Later in the game, CP3–clearly feeling himself–decided to give it another shot, this time a one-handed poster of a Wizards forward Kelly Oubre Jr. He didn’t quite get the dramatic finish he was looking for, but the shot did fall (and he got the foul).
