Panthers hope starting RB can make a comeback before playoffs.

The Carolina Panthers saw their undefeated season shamble vs the Falcons this past sunday. Now that they can look forward to the season and not making history, I’m sure the plate is not so heavy. The Panthers are hoping that starting running back option Jonathan Stewart can make a comeback. Steve Reed of the Associated Press reported Stewart is walking without a boot on his foot. ESPN’s Ed Werder noted the team is hopeful Stewart can play in Week 17 after he ran well on the treadmill, adding that he will reportedly practice on Wednesday. Head coach Ron Rivera told reporters Stewart “might be” ready to return against Tampa Bay. The fact that the panthers have a triple threat deep with Artis-payne, Whittaker and FB Mike Tolbert to help. Not to mention the quarterback Cam Newton (Possible NFL MVP) is a dual threat in the pocket as well.
