One of the countries hit the hardest by the Ebola outbreak, Guinea, has recently been declared free of any cases by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Guinea had reported the highest number of cases during the outbreak over the span of two years, which included 2,500 cases out if the 11,000 cases reported throughout the region. The outbreak, which strained the resources of all the African countries it affected, incited Western panic after a few foreign travelers to the region contracted the virus and brought it to the U.S.
