The latest update reports that the legendary singer is currently undergoing tests screening for throat cancer.

The 49-year-old singer had previously postponed live performances back in October 2015 in order to rest her voice, and now unfortunately her health issues may possibly be more serious than her doctors previously thought.

Sources have claimed that doctors have discovered a tumor on her vocal chords, saying, “It’s a medical condition that has to be taken care of immediately.”

Janet has remained relatively quiet on the matter, but did post a statement back in December explaining the delayed tour, saying, “Hey you guys…Happy Holidays to each and every one of you! I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon. It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the ‘Unbreakable Tour’ until the spring.”

The message continued, “Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time…There will be no further comment.”
