Michael Galeota, a star on Disney Channel’s The Jersey and the movie Clubhouse Detectives was found dead today in his California home. He was 31.
TMZ first reported a friend went into his home to check on him and when he didn’t answer, the friend climbed through a window and found Galeota’s body in his Glendale home.
According to reports the child star had a history of hypertension, high cholesterol and inflammation of the digestive track. Last week, Galeota went to the hospital after complaining about stomach pains, but left the hospital against the doctor’s orders.
His friends set up a GoFundMe page to help with Galeota’s funeral costs, which has already yielded $12,000 in a few hours.
One donation worth $5,000 is from “Shia L.,” which might be from fellow Disney Channel child star Shia LaBeouf, but it has not been confirmed.
