Vh1 has renewed the songbird’s reality show, K. Michelle: My Life, for a second season. This time, the “Can’t Raise a Man” singer is trying L.A. on for size. She’s more vulnerable than ever, giving fans a front row seat into who the woman is behind the spotlight and following her daily life.
In the City of Angels, the Memphis native exposes her challenges with her label and love life, confronting buried skeletons and past demons. Along with her best friend and self-proclaimed “gay husband” Jonathan, Michelle, born Kimberly Michelle Pate, ventures on a journey of revolutionizing her signature sound for her third album, internal struggles and new beginnings.
With guest appearances by Joseline Hernandez, whose spin-off series Stevie J and Joseline Go Hollywood premieres just before hers, Trina and event promoter Miss Diddy, Michelle takes fans behind the scenes, exposing her ups and downs.

Aside from the singer wearing her heart on her sleeve, Michelle’s ever-changing hair styles take precedence. From wild, golden and blonde lion’s mane to fiery red to sleek and jet-black, seeing the singer switch from different styles is entertaining on its own.
