Last year, Puff Daddy dropped his MMM album, a project he’d been teasing for quite some time, dating back to 2014’s “Big Homie” and “I Need the Love.” When the project was finally released, collaborations with everyone from Travi$ Scott and Ty Dolla $ign to Jadakiss and King Los were unleashed, reminding everybody that Puff’s knack for putting together crafty, enjoyable, classic-sounding Hip Hop and R&B records was still very intact. In 2016, we’ll be looking for his recently announced No Way Out 2 album, pegged as a Puff Daddy and the Family project, from which only one song has been released, the bouncy, dance-happy “Finna Get Loose,” which features Pharrell.
Still, in the interim, no one will complain about a new Puff record, especially given his recent track record. Enter this new joint, a remix to one of MMM’s bonus cuts, “Old Man Wildin’,” featuring French Montana, Jadakiss, Manolo Rose and Styles P, a plethora of New York-bred rap styles, many of whom have worked with Puff in the past; Styles and ‘Kiss appeared on the original cut.
