The Philadelphia rapper donated to the Flint Child and Family Health Development Fund, and has plans to send 60,000 bottles of water to the Eastern Michigan Food Bank. This comes just days after his back-and-forth with 50 Cent concluded with Meek daring the G-Unit boss and other entertainers to help him in his efforts to help the people of Flint, where people have tried relentlessly–and often failed–to communicate the state of their contaminated water to their government since 2014.

Meek’s donation to the city of Flint also reportedly have “nothing to do” with his court-mandated community service duties, and it should be noted that there are other entertainers that should join his efforts.
