It is being revealed that Eminem’s former sister-in-law Dawn Scott, passed away earlier this week after an apparent heroin overdose in her hometown of Warren, Michigan. 40-years-old at the time of her death, Scott was the twin sister of Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Mathers, as well as a childhood friend of the former couple. The rapper, real name Marshall Mathers, was married to Kim from 1999 to 2001 and later remarried in 2006 before splitting for a final time.
Back in 2014, Dawn was interviewed by Radar Online and revealed that though she had been homeless and struggling with addiction, her rich and famous former brother-in-law refused to help her financially.

Though he had not been married to her sister for over a decade, the couple still adopted and raised Dawn’s daughter Alaina, who is now 22-years-old. Police say toxicology tests are still pending.
