The main topic of conversation in the Entertainment world the past week has been the lack of Black nominees for this year’s upcoming Academy Awards. Things have gotten so intense that many in Hollywood are boycotting the ceremony, namely Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, this along with the trending hashtag #OscarsSoWhite. Actor/Comedian Chris Rock had been tapped to host the show and some have weighed in stating that he should back out.

Chris’ brother, comedian Tony Rock weighed in on the matter when TMZ caught up with him recently.

Hell yeah he should (host). There’s a big a** check involved. (There’s no) better platform to bring light to this whole thing than on the stage, in front of those same white people that don’t accept our movies and acknowledge our movies.

Though Chris Rock has not indicated that he will be not be hosting, he did poke fun at the Oscars in a recent tweet.
