Corey Hawkins is landing more parts than ever since his breakout role in Straight Outta Compton as Dr. Dre.
Hawkins, 27, has a supporting role in season six of The Walking Dead and he’s now been cast as the male lead in the upcoming FOX series, 24: Legacy.
The series is centered around a military hero [Hawkins] struggling to return to society as a productive citizen while trying to stop what could be the biggest terrorist attack against America. The show was written by 24 veterans Manny Coto and Evan Katz and directed by Stephen Hopkins.

There’s no word as to when this action-filled drama will be released, with FOX thus far only ordering the pilot.
