Panthers LB Thomas Davis Plans On In Playing Super Bowl Despite Broken Arm

The Carolina Panthers are currently the talk of the NFL, with their superstar quarterback Cam Newton and earning a trip to Super Bowl 50 after crushing the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship game this past Sunday. During the game, Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis was removed from play after breaking his right arm. He immediately underwent surgery the following day to have a plate inserted into his right forearm. Much to everyone’s surprise, the 11-year NFL veteran plans on playing in the big game.

If I had concerns about hitting somebody or getting hit, I wouldn’t even take the field.

With his right hand still fully functional, Davis plans on playing with a brace on his arm, similar to the one worn by New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, but not as bulky.
