Since the release of his Thanksgiving mixtape, CM8, Yo Gotti has been on a pretty prolific run, from the release of several music videos–“Designer Party” and “Legendary” among them–including the Fetty Wap-featured “Tell Me,” which you can watch below, to the success of his “Down in the DM” single, which has just helped the Memphis native achieve a major milestone.

According to Billboard, for the first time in his career, Yo Gotti has secured the #1 spot on the Mainstream Hip Hop/R&B charts with “Down in the DM,” which jumped from 4-1 for the week ending at January 24.

“Down in the DM” fended off popular bangers like Bryson Tiller‘s “Don’t,” and Tory Lanez‘s “Say It” for the top spot, awarding Yo Gotti his first #1, and his highest chart position as a solo or featured artist, besting 2009’s “5 Star.” Gotti is peaking at just the right time, as he builds off the success of songs like “Down in the DM,” and the Meek Mill-featured, late-blooming “F-U,” which is easily one of the most popular records for either artist in the last few years. Epic Records is expecting to release Gotti’s second LP on the label, The Art of Hustle, this year, which means 2016 could be big for the Tennessee rep.

The video for the #1 record is coming soon, but in the meantime, enjoy yet another visual from Gotti, “Tell Me,” featuring Fetty Wap.
