Griffin, who punched Clippers assistant equipment manager Matias Testi on January 23, is out for at least a month with a broken hand. This is a significant blow to the team, principally because this could be the core team’s (Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan and Griffin) last ride as championship contenders. Head coach Doc Rivers, though, has moved on from the incident and believes if Richard Nixon can have a library built after his disgrace from Watergate Scandal in the 1970s, then he can forgive Griffin.

“He feels awful about it, and he’s let everyone know that,” Rivers said. “That’s all you can do. You have to forgive people at some point. I believe that. We built Richard Nixon a library. I mean, my goodness. You forgive people. You really do. You kind of move on, and you build it back.”
