Timbaland reportedly asked for Ace Of Spades champagne in his event rider but to his dismay, he was served Dom Perignon because the club did not carry JAY Z’s “expensive line of Armand de Brignac bubbly,” the New York Daily News reported.

According to the paper,  Timbaland—real name Timothy Mosley—drank every drop of liquor he had requested, including tequila, vodka, cognac, and Disaronno, but still chose to not perform.

“They had about 15 bottles of liquor and champagne, which is extremely excessive especially for a charity event,” Mitchell Jaworski, co-owner of Club Bleu where the event was held, told the Daily News. “They seemed more concerned about getting every drop of liquor.”

Timbaland was paid in advance to DJ for 30-minutes and to play five to eight songs at Club Bleu in Detroit, Michigan but because of the champagne mix-up, sources told the newspaper he just simply stood in the venue, nodding his head to the beat as another DJ performed.

Despite the multi-Grammy winner’s “classlessness” late Thursday night, the event still raked in at least $3,000 to buy bottles of water and filters for the people of Flint, according to Jaworski.

The artist’s management team had been contacted for comment at press time.
