This past weekend, OVO Sound Radio Episode 14 was very eventful, as October Firm (Drake and Oliver El-Khatib) hosted along with a guest mix by Majid Jordan.
The episode featured a brand new track by Drizzy, “Summer Sixteen,” from his highly anticipated forthcoming album, Views From The 6, followed by unreleased music by Majid Jordan. Lost among the commotion, however, was OVO’s young artist Roy Wood$, who took Kodak Black‘s hit “SKRT” and gave it his own unique R&B flavor crooning smoothly over the ominous beat.
The resulting track retains a unique quality that differentiates it from the original song but keeps just enough to maintain the original’s spirit. Take a listen.
