President Obama hosted the Golden State Warriors at the White House recently, keeping the tradition of allowing the winner of a major American sports championship to pose with him for a congratulatory press conference. Guys like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and many more members of the 67-win 2014-2015 Golden State Warriors stood behind POTUS as he made fun of several members of the team for various reasons, from Luke Walton not being able to lay claim to the team’s blistering start, to Klay Thompson not knowing there was a pro team in Oakland while he was in college.
Obama, ever the charmer, definitely poked at Stephen Curry, joking that he was disappointed that his popular daughter, Riley Curry, didn’t make the trip. Steph looked none too pleased that the leader of the free world was looking past him in favor of his daughter, but we’re sure all jokes were received favorably.
