Former Phoenix Sun and NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley has been a member of the Emmy Award-winning TNT Inside the NBA crew for the last 15 years, where he’s added color commentary and epic rants to his bag of tricks, alongside Kenny Smith, Ernie Johnson and Shaq. Last night, during the highlights of a Phoenix Suns loss to Houston–a game they led in the 4th quarter despite the absence of their three leading scorers–Barkley sent several shots at the Suns, calling them “trash” and adding that even without the injuries they’re a joke. He extended condolences to former head coach Jeff Hornacek, who was fired last week in the midst of a 2-19 skid, and pretty much denounced the organization as a whole.

In Barkley’s playing days, he was a superstar for the Phoenix Suns, averaging at least 22 points and 11 rebounds in each of his four seasons in Arizona, and led Phoenix to the 1993 NBA Finals, which they eventually lost to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in 6 games. Barkley also won his only regular season MVP award with the team that year, and had his number (34) retired by the team after he retired in 2000.
