Meek Mill has been sentenced to 90 days of house arrest for violating his probation this past November, when he traveled to the American Music Awards without the court’s permission, as per CBS Philadelphia‘s Kristen Johanson.
Though 3 months of house arrest isn’t at all something to celebrate, Meek can find consolation in the fact that he avoided being sent back to prison. He served 5 months behind bars for a previous probation violation in 2014, and was in serious danger of going back after reports revealed that the judge presiding over Meek’s case felt that the Philadelphia rapper was flipping his nose at the court by dropping diss tracks aimed at law enforcement and tampering with his urine drug test.
Johanson report that Meek and Nicki Minaj were taken into the judge’s chambers before the ruling for a heart-to-heart conversation, and Meek’s house arrest is set to begin on March 1.
