A dark black pair of subtly tributary of forces arrived in 2009. Nike challenged seniors at Miami’s Booker T. Washington High School, to create their own artistic expressions of Black History Month in the form of spoken word pieces. Apt finalists handed in original spoken word pieces each interpreting the Civil Rights Movement from their own lens. The top reigning 3 received scholarship funds and the not for public sale Air Force 1 BHM Low 2009.
