Bobby Shmurda has been behind bars since December of 2014 after being arrested and charged with crimes ranging from conspiracy to commit murder to criminal possession of a weapon. He pled guilty on all counts, but has struggled to be granted bail, and has cycled through several lawyers and bail hearings, all resulting in his extended stay behind bars until the beginning of his trial.

Reports have surfaced today that Shmurda’s trial date has been pushed back yet again to May 11, according to information obtained from Director of Public Information at the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor in New York Kati Cornell. Several attempts have been made at getting Shmurda out of jail until his court date, from celebrity inquiries to famed bondsmen, but all have been unsuccessful. Shmurda was picked up as part of a sting operation that also targeted several of his GS9 crew members, including Rowdy Rebel.
