adidas is looking to turn up the excitement at this year’s upcoming NFL Combine.
The three-stripe sneaker company has announced they will offer any NFL prospect participating in this year’s NFL Combine one million dollars if they can break the 40-yard dash record.
The record was set by Arizona Cardinals running back Chris Johnson, who ran an 4.24 in the adizero 5-star 40 cleats. Here’s a brief reminder of what the then East Carolina speedster accomplished sporting the lighter than a feather 4.9 oz cleats.
Last year, adidas offered $100,000 to the person who could break the record, which it still stands.
Upping the ante to one million dollars, a lot of collegiate pigskin greats must be gunning for that extra bonus. To qualify for the contest, adidas is looking for prospects to wear their footwear in pursuit to breaking the mark. If two prospects have the same time while setting the new record, both prospects must split the grand prize. Good luck to all the prospects training for the NFL Combine, taking place in Indianapolis in roughly two weeks.
