Organized Noize shaped the sound of Southern Hip Hop about two decades ago. It consisted of the production trio Rico Wade, Ray Murray and Patrick “Sleepy” Brown who helped spark the careers of Outkast and Goodie M.O.B. Their story is being told in a forthcoming documentary coming to Netflix called The Art of Organized Noize.

The documentary was produced by Queen Latifah and directed by Quincy Jones III. Many musical A-listers like Ludacris, Big Boi and L.A Reid are shown discussing their rise to the top from “The Dungeon.” Future and Metro Boomin, who are a few of the shapers of southern rap today, also chime in the conversation.
